Augh, this show.... I had very little enthusiasm to watch the last couple of weeks. Although, all things being equal, I wasn't inclined to watch most of what was recorded on my DVR in general the last few weeks; opting instead to take advantage of a free Netflix, catching up on the most recent season of Luficer and rewatching all 8 seasons of the original Charmed and 6 seasons of Community (I'll say it, Charmed was better after they killed Prue; and Community probably should have ended after season 3.... 🤷♂️)
So now, with nothing else to watch (except a backlog of Arrowverse shows I'm in no hurry catch-up on either), I come back to Days. Almost tempted to go back and watch the 10 or 11 episodes piled up on my DVR, but instead I just go back to Mondays... I don't feel like I've missed much. I was a little surprised by Justin identifying Orpheus as having killed Adrienne. I knew they were working towards some sort of development on that front, especially on account of Orpheus and what's his names big secret. And of course, speculation abounds that
I had read in the descriptions how Orpheus was going to kidnap John; his rescue seemed anticlimactic. And he apparently wasn't being held for long, considering Eric tells Nicole he wants to go and tell John and Marlena the news of their engagement; if John wasn't gone long enough for Eric to know he might not be around to tell him anything. But maybe I missed him being told he was rescued.
Could they possibly make Justin seem more like a loser in this whole Justin/Kayla/Steve triangle? Kayla's daydreaming about Steve's heroics and Justin comes around offering tea; following that up by commenting on how they haven't heard from Steve and "hoping nothing bad's happened to him."
Why would you say that??
I was curious about the Zoey recast when I first read about it, because I didn't much care for the first one, but the new one didn't seem like much of an improvement. If anything I might have been a little more sympathetic if it were the other one holding Rafe at gunpoint, telling him how Orpheus kidnapped her son.
And of course there's a fucking bomb under John and Marlena's couch; like some sort of bloody cartoon. And it's counting down from 40 fucking minutes, because heaven a villain actually enact a plan that will remotely succeed in killing anybody.... 🙄

Orpheus took it a step further and actually faked Adrienne's death; which wouldn't surprise me either, if albeit making much of the developments from the 1 year jump really fucking pointless.
