Happy 62nd Ms. Quigley. Hope it's a good one and thanks for the lockdown advice from Florida and pictures shared on social media. Inspirational.
And best of luck with your new tv show on DRagonFLIX, I've enjoyed some of it on youtube and hope to see it all soon (release a dvd!).

Linnea, and I guess this should be a good reminder to myself, that I really need to check out far more of her stuff from back in the 80s and early 90s.

Let's be honest, we're all thinking back to that dance scene she did in The Return of the Living Dead?

Let's be honest, we're all thinking back to that dance scene she did in The Return of the Living Dead? "Hey, somebody get some light over here, Trash is taking off her clothes again." Always burst out laughing whenever that scene happens, as it just seems so totally "random", like that is what Trash do all the time, and her friends just plays along like it is the most natural thing in the world. Between her great part as Trash in Return of the Living Dead and a few of her others 80s horror-roles, I got to admit I always look forwards to her part in Night of the Demons (1988), which surely is not up there in quality as Return of the Living Dead, but is very fun and campy late 80s slasher film, which is made even more enjoyable thanks to the lovely and sweet Linnea.

Have been meaning of getting to check out a few more of her movies, or those where she has a bit bigger part or role than just some "random" chick getting killed off, and somehow I "stumbled upon" a film called Death Mask (1998), which I gotta be honest, turned out to be a real pleasant surprise. Linnea got to play far more out of "character", and by that I mean not just some bimbo, even though she kind of "starts out that way". However, she early on proves that she is more than just a looker, and I really enjoyed her great chemistry with James Best, and it had sort of a tragic horror-drama which reminded me of some of the classic Universal Horror movies of the 30s and 40s. James Best was surely the main highlight, and for a DTV release, this was one of the better I have seen for a very long time. Might just have to try and pick it up on DVD.

It's the second collaboration between Linnea Quigley and director Steve Latshaw, following 'Jack-O' (1995).

I think I actually saw that one (Jack-O) before Death Mask, but for me Death Mask were surely the much better acted and written movie, where I have to say, I remember almost nothing (beside the usual Linnea taking her hot shower scene) from Jack-O.

I think they are quite different. 'Death Mask' is a character study. 'Jack-O' is a seasonal creature feature. I'm lucky to have the deluxe 10th Anniversary Edition of 'Jack-O' on dvd as it has some extras I enjoy.

Happy 63rd Birthday, Ms. Quigley!!
It's been reported at Bloody Disgusting that an online platform is looping Linnea Quigley's workout exercise routines so people can work out together on her birthday, if it takes their fancy. I've done some of her simpler routines but you need to be careful, agile and limber to do others. The 24-hour marathon is streaming at Fuse Sweat.
"I can't say I'll have Linnea Quigley's Horror Workout on all 24 hours tomorrow, but I will be checking in on the stream from time to time."

Happy 64th Birthday, Ms. Quigley!!
"Sweden's national flower is the linnea borealis, which is also known as the twinflower. Interestingly, it was named after Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus, who was the founder of taxonomy."

"The B-movie thing just happened. I really didn't know that much about it to say "this is an A-movie" and "this is a B-movie." To me, a movie was a movie. I was a drive-in freak. I'd go and watch things like 'Boxcar Bertha'. To me, that movie was just as good - if not better - than 'The Sting' or something like that."

That is a great photo Petrolini, thanks for bringing it up. Have not seen to many of her films lately, but might try to come back to her later this summer or fall.

I say go for it! Her recent movie 'Thrust' (2022), filmed in Ohio, is my favourite horror movie of the decade so far.
