But without Bowie, it won’t be the same.

I liked Labyrinth, although it won't be the same without David Bowie. Hopefully, Scott Derrickson can take it to the finish line. A few years ago, Fede Alvarez was the director, but he dropped out.

Catman hopes Jennifer Connelly will sign on. Well it's not like she's coming back for Alita 2.

Why did Fede drop out? Seems like he attaches himself to movies and then they never happen? Wasn’t he working on a live action adaption of the video game Dante’s Inferno?

I love Labyrinth, but i have a hard time with the idea of a sequel without David Bowie.

I love Labyrinth, but i have a hard time with the idea of a sequel without David Bowie. I don’t know who could replace Bowie honestly. I could almost see Adam Lambert in this, but I REALLY DO NOT WANT THAT.

I could see Jennifer Connelly playing the Mom and her kid (or kids) getting stuck in the Labryinth. Not sure she'd be up for it tho.
Guess we'll see.

He told Bloody Disgusting last month that he didn't want to make franchise movies that audiences already know what to expect and opted to make movies that are more personal to him.

So we can expect to never see his Dante’s Inferno? Damn that’s disappointing.

I like Derrickson, but what is he going to get from a project like this? Maybe he has complete (or close to it) creative freedom from the studio, but it’s a sequel to a moderately entertaining movie that isn’t really all that rich in content to begin with.
Do something like Sinister again. I have my issues with that movie, but he showed talent and it was his own thing (along with his co-writer of course).

Why didn’t Duncan Jones just direct it? Bowie’s son.

True story: When I read this article my first thought was Tilda. I don't think she should be Jareth though, but maybe his sister. I really think they need to write Jareth out of the story-line since we can't get Bowie.

Not a bad choice. But since this is a SEQUEL and not a reboot, why the gender swap?

Not a bad choice. But since this is a SEQUEL and not a reboot, why the gender swap? I guess cuz she played a man in Suspiria?

He went from the MCU to an unwanted Labyrinth sequel? He must have really pissed someone off.
