Here's a thought, while re-watching Spin the Bottle; Cordy's reaction is a bit different from the others, who are more relaxed, if albeit tripping to varying degrees. But more than just her actions in smashing the urn, she shouts out, "What's happening? We can't just... We have to... No!"
Maybe this has always seemed obvious to everyone else, but I've always taken it as her having more of a freak-out and smashing it without really thinking about it - an accidental, spell gone wrong type of thing, with unintended consequences; not unlike the catalyst in Tabula Rasa. It now occurs to me that this may not necessarily have been a random, discombobulated response to the spell, the way the others are behaving, but rather the emergence of Cordelia - the real Cordelia Chase, memories and all, who is consequently aware that Jasmine is along for the ride; and the risk a full memory restoration poses, which would allow Jasmine to take full control. So in an effort to stop that from happening, she quite intentionally smashes the urn to stop the spell short.

I fully support that theory. It seems more like a moment of lucidity than a freak out. And it goes with the gang's realization later that they unintentionally woke it up during Lorne's spell.

Never thought of it like that but now I am I think it's brilliant if that was the intention, nice thinking.

I never really thought about this before, but it does make sense. But I have always been distracted by Wesley more than Cordy's actions during that scene. He came off as the one knowing what was going to happen and possibly having an ulterior motive and he comes off kind of evil, lol. Of course I know Wes isn't evil here, but just his response has always puzzled me and makes me think he knew something even though I don't think there is any evidence that he did, and I am not implying that. I don't think Joss or Alexis say anything about either of these things on the commentary, they just laugh.
