MOU GAAN DOU (INFERNAL AFFAIRS) suffered from boring directing and a melodramatic music score. THE DEPARTED tells the same story but with style and intensity. The performances are great and the dark humour is funny. There are mistakes in the editing and the way in which songs start and stop playing. They feel like they were made on purpose, but they still distract.
