So...I don't think Ive ever actually seen this all the way through until this morning. I remember as a kid getting disinterested with the style and overall plot around the time of the end of Heather 1. Maybe I was in a kind of cynical mood this morning and this was a good film to watch for my mood but I enjoyed it a lot. Its dark...and even tho its probably considered a dark comedy I didn't find it particularly funny, but definitely its dark and twisted and perhaps a tad surreal. I really liked Winona Ryder in this. Christian Slater was good too and really managed to make a believable transformation from a seemingly intelligent and well intentioned teen to a pretty nutty psychopath. Of the Heathers...Kim Walker I found to be really beautiful, despite the 80s fashion and hairstyle....and am kind of sad to now realize she died of a brain tumor 20 years ago...Shannon Doherty made a nice transformation from sympathetic to total bitch and Lisanne Falk made a nice reverse transformation.
Overall Im glad I finally sat thru this all the way.

One of my favorites from the 80s. How would you rate it?

One of my favorites from the 80s. How would you rate it? Probably like a 7/10. It was good and memorable, and ill definitely rewatch it whenever I get the desire.

I think it may be my favourite Christian Slater performance.
I've always wanted to see the musical too. The soundtrack is honestly pretty great.

Don't think I've seen it since the early 90s and pretty sure I liked it back then. I'm wondering if what I recall as an almost forced "edginess" might put me off it a bit now.

I watched it for the first time last year and I felt pretty much the same way. I thought it was good. I was a bit surprised that I enjoyed it and I think 7/10 is fair.

Oh I wanted to add...they made a TV series a year or two ago that was cancelled after one season. I watched the first two episodes. It's not bad, but not good enough for me to finish.
