I've grown out of them too. They've pretty much outlived their usefulness and relevance. Doesn't change the fact that they were a good band though.

I never grew into them. I always thought they sucked.

I love Green Day, even though I've probably outgrown them too.
I probably won't go out of my way to listen to anything new they put out, but I still listen to their music (mostly songs from Nimrod and American Idiot) regularly.

I liked a couple of their songs. That's about it.

I have International Superhits! which is decent, and I know a lot of poeple hated it, but I actually really liked American Idiot, even if they "sold out" or whatever the fuck.
After that though, yeah, it borders on not caring for them and flat out disliking their stuff.

I still listen to them. But yeah, the big hits like "Basket Case" and "American Idiot" get old easily.

Never really knew most of their stuff. Pleasantly nerdy.

Dookie is one of the best pop punk albums of all time. Otherwise they are inconsistent but generally likable.

Since I worked in music retail, I had heard of them before they became mainstream. You know...the CDs released on Lookout! records.
Then, it was announced they had been signed to Reprise Records, which is affiliated with Warner.
It wasn't until Basket Case was released as a single that "Dookie" took off. In fact, it was between that album and "Smash" by the Offspring that were the two big CDs for Christmas presents.
I thought their career had died a slow, gory death after "Warning" was released. There were a few good songs on that album.
However, when "American Idiot" was released, that album resurrected their career. I regained interest in them.
It's not often that I pick up live albums, but I got the "Bullet In A Bible" CD/DVD set.
I was going to write a parody of "American Idiot", called "Canadian Idiot". It started off:
Don't wanna be a Canadian Idiot -- EH?
But, Weird Al Yankovic did do a parody of it with that exact title. I gave up -- I didn't want to steal his thunder.
To answer the question:
I like them.

It's all a matter of taste of course, but that is my least favorite kind of music of all time.

i grew out of green day actually. Me too. Their later albums weren't very memorable. In their heyday they were great.
