Fantastic musician. With Cream he had this remarkable ability to lay down a groove while still finding these pockets to solo over at the same time. It gave Cream the contradictory feeling of a trio both playing together, but also all soloing simultaneously!

It gave Cream the contradictory feeling of a trio both playing together, but also all soloing simultaneously! I don't know how guys like Jack Bruce sing and play like that. I play piano, a bit of bass, but I don't sing. I know Bruce knows the tricks, plays in the pocket, during big vocal moments, modulates his voice to fit his instrument, but still. That's another level.
