This is for movie adventures and events (fact or fiction) with a little swash and buckle thrown in and set in pre-historical, ancient, mediaeval, renaissance, and modern times up to and including the 18th (pre-19th) century. Subsequent centuries are mainly covered by other threads (eg War, Classics), but other threads can be easliy opened if there is a 'missing link'. Biographies acceptable on this thread within the time-frame, but a not unreasonable overlap of centuries would be considered in this respect.
SCI-FI, MONSTERS, and fables of the fairy-story category, NOT acceptable. There perforce will be overlaps with CLASSICS and WAR threads which will be accepted.
Thank you for the explanation at the end of the previous thread. I almost didn't see it. But I had something else in mind when I asked. By historical, do you mean non-fiction? I noticed that some of the posts in that thread were fictional films. Any time I posted to the thread, I checked IMDb.com first to be sure that one of the genres listed was either "history" or "biography". Do you have a procedure established on that issue?
