I'm just making a comment regarding what the earlier poster said: Its very hard to become a JW. Are you suggesting that it's easy to become one? Or are you saying that because it's hard to become one, evangelizing is a waste of time? What was your point exactly? I am saying that because people actively seek converts to their particular Christian sect, the more likely they are too quickly accept those who are willing to join the faith.

Don't know about jgs, but I thought Vegas Devil used to be a JW. Smithy has some connection with JWs but he has repeatedly said he is a non-denomination Christian. many of his family members are supposedly JWs. Vegas Devil was born in catholic family I guess but was inspired by JW for some time. I guess now he is agnostic. All true. There was a stint in my teens were I was a member of the Southern Baptists... but.. I was drunk a lot in my teens.

By the time you are baptized, it's going to be 6 months to a year plus you will not be smoking, doing drugs, fornicating, celebrating birthdays, Xmas, Easter, & whatever other holiday, plus be aware of no blood, no saying Trump is an idiot or Hillary is evil, no patriotism, plus preach to other people, all at the expense of family entrenched in another religion. After all of that, which they are reminded of at the talk preceding their baptism, people are saying "OK". It's definitely not an infant baptism process.
It is tough to become a JW unless you are dishonest because they tend to take people at their word. However, that still has to do with a person's anxiousness to become a JW.

That's pretty interesting. It takes several months to enter the Catholic Church too. The programme is called the Rite of Initiation of Adults (or by its acronym, RCIA). It starts up in September, & concludes at the Easter Vigil (Holy Saturday night). If the initiate is coming from another Christian Church, which believes in the Holy Trinity, he/she does not need to be Baptized, but, those from other religions receive Baptism, their first Communion, & their Confirmation that night. The ones who do not need to be Baptized only receive their First Holy Communion & their Confirmation only.

From cooljgs, on those calling him a Jehovah's Witness: "It was largely PD, isapop maybe, and some trinitarians."
No, cooljgs, not once have I said you were a JW. If you doubt that, then I'll elaborate. Otherwise, we'll chalk it up to some poor recall on your part.

That's why I said maybe. My apologies.

I'm just saying your point didn't link to what I said and further it appears that your initial statement is proven wrong by all the evidence you present now. Let it go, Indiana.

PD definitely had a propensity for calling people that. He's accused me (then subsequently denied it) on more than one occasion.
