Ownership is to blame long before Chris Paul. They should re-sign Paul, let JJ go.

Also, probably not the way Paul Pierce wanted to finish his career.

Wonder if Rivers will stick around. i really wanted to root for them over the years - but after the whole deandre jordan debacle found it hard to. and chris paul and griffin seem like good guys - but 'good guys' need a 'superstar'...... i think Melo is the most overrated player in the nba and can't stand him........ but i'm curious as there where trade rumors swirling - if you ad Melo to this core - maybe Melo would 'adjust' - or - well - maybe Melo would just be Melo. as a person i actually think Melo is a good dude - he's just not the star he was made out to be business wise and he can't win

Doc should just take Paul George for a steak dinner and then let PG punch Austin a few times

Doc should just take Paul George for a steak dinner and then let PG punch Austin a few times how classic would it be if George dissed the Lakers and Magic and went to the Clips intstead? was hoping my Sixers would put together a package to get him. they have the assets to do it. salivating over the thought of Embiid/George/Simmons - Simmons is a quasi Point Forward like the Greek Freak in Milwaukee and runs the point - all they need is a sharp shooter and then have Dario and Cov come off the bench. That's Top 3 in the East for years............

Blake has to go. He has to go, Blake is never healthy, some other dumb franchise will take him.
Sorry rivers, you go to go.
CP3 can stay. JJ, has to go. It is time to blow this team up, with you OP.
Weird series right? Didnt just 2 times the home team won, right? I think it went 1-1 (Split) than 2-2 (Split) and next, road team won all games. Weird stuff.

Jordan is a real detriment if he's needed at the end of close games due to his free throw shooting. They need someone on the wing who's a real 3-point threat. Crawford is good, though.

This is what I've been saying for the past two seasons: even though the team cannot win a championship as currently constructed, this is not a franchise that can afford to be torn down. There isn't an established fan base that will stick around through the dark times. We're not talking about the Celtics or the Bulls here. Hell, the Miami Heat are having a hard enough time keeping the arena full, and that team isn't nearly as bad as the Clippers would be if they decided to clean house.
However, that decision is no longer the organization's, what with Paul, Griffin, Crawford, and Redick having player options/becoming free agents this summer. But at the same time, I don't see everybody leaving. Griffin clearly doesn't give a shit about winning; his refusal to play through a bruised toe, when the future of the team was at stake, proved this. Plus, the Clippers can pay him more than anybody else can, and since he doesn't care about winning, I would assume he cares only about getting paid. Crawford might leave, but I don't know if he's really interested in playing the same role somewhere else, unless it's with a guaranteed championship-caliber team, like Golden State or Cleveland. Redick can't really justify leaving, as I don't know why any team would want a guy who is obviously incapable of scoring in the playoffs.
That leaves Paul, who could definitely sell another team on his talents, but which one? Cleveland wouldn't give up Kyrie for him, would they? Maybe he can go to the Spurs, but only if Tony Parker retires this summer.

the spurs are true pros. they would be unwise to sign an over-hyped vagina like chris paul. and why does anyone care about this dud winning a title? he's just an annoying little whiney dribbler.

I'm not saying Paul is one of the greatest players of all-time, or that he'll even win a championship, but you go way too far in your criticism. You talk about him like he's a scrub, which he obviously is not. How many active point guards are ahead of him right now? Two, three at the most? If Tony Parker retires this summer (and yes, right now, Paul is a tremendous upgrade over Parker. You can argue that the Parker of 2013 was better than the Paul of today, but at this point, Paul is indisputably better than Parker), what realistic move could the Spurs make that would be better than signing Paul?
Most teams would be wise to pass on Griffin, despite his high potential, but Paul? No way.

Lakers will always be on top of LA. Like Mets and Yankees. Yankees/Lakers - A side Mets/Clips - B Side
In the end, you have to win championships, or ffs get the hell out the first round. This isnt working, CP3 isnt getting younger. As NJ said, get some talent for Griffin, a lot of people have a boner for Griffin. Give me 3 roleplayers for Griffin who can stay on the fn floor. Least theyd contribute, it seems like Griffin is always hurt.
Honestly, I like George but I saw him just act like a baby in the Cavs/Indy series. OK, they grab George lets say, what does that make the Lakers? A 8th/7th seed?
You got GSW, San Antonio, Houston, OKC, Utah, Portland, the West is stacked atm. Magic has the pull and talent to grab Griffin, maybe an LA to LA deal. That be interesting.
Youre right, it probably isnt smart. In the end, arent they paying the luxury tax as well? To be kicked out the first round? Im not saying "blow it up fire em all!" no, trade, see what you can get for Griffin and hell maybe Jordan, shoot, even CP3, if you get a deal you cant refuse, why not? I just think it's time for some big changes, but get talent back!
Right, I agree totally. Does anyone know when they ARE moving?
