I don't get it. Those are movies that aren't really connected to each other and they feature segments that also aren't really connected to each other. What would be the difference between a reboot and another sequel?

What would be the difference between a reboot and another sequel? The original movie was connected by VHS tapes found in a home invasion by thieves. But you are correct none of the video segments were connected. It's been awhile since I watched the other films. So I can't remember if there was a wraparound segment connecting how the tapes were found etc. |

However, that wraparound segment didn't have the same characters from the 1st one. That's what I meant when I said that the movies are not connected. |
