I saw it years ago but from what I remember it was a fun but unmemorable film.

No. I didn't see it in theaters and I held off buying the DVD for over a decade because I hated the cover that is in your post. One day on a trip to Walmart I saw it for $5 and one of the copies had this cover. So I bought it, watched it and liked it. I rewatch it 2-3 times a year. All of the main and side actors are fun to watch and I like how sweet Amy is. "Go away! Ugly gorillas, ugly!" I like it better than JP3. If I didn't know the movie existed, I'd think you made that cover yourself. It's a true to life representation of a thread you'd see on this board. "Cast a 1995 film version of the Crichton novel 'Congo,' and design a cover for the DVD." Haha. I agree. When I bought it I was a little afraid it was a bootleg. When I got home I searched online and confirmed it was a legit rerelease. I just hate that computer screen-type blending into Amy's face cover. The newest cover (the 3rd version) isn't much better. Looks like it is trying to sell it as a horror movie, when it really isn't. I'd rather have Amy's sweet face on the cover over that, to quote her, "ugly gorillas".

I like Ernie Hudson and Tim Curry in it a lot.

My vague recollection is that it was dumb fun for the 90s but mostly dumb.
