Don't know, but it would be fun (since they don't have seatbelts and I think in one or so early episodes some of the chairs aren't even bolted down).

I think that it is a matter of 21st century technology vs. 23rd century technology. ( I don't think any episodes of the original Star Trek stated the century it was set in, but I always assumed it was at least the 23rd century.)

What makes you think it didn't? It's a big ship, and people fell around often. I can easily believe a dozen or so showed up to sickbay with sprains and bruises when it did. Hell, there's an episode where Spock actually describes how he banged his head on a rail when the ship got shook up.

I would think so too, but 23rd century plus medicines seems like it's evolved so far that sprains, bruises and even broken bones are like a beesting to humans now.

Hell, there's an episode where Spock actually describes how he banged his head on a rail when the ship got shook up. People only fell on the Enterprise when the inertial dampeners failed. What are inertial dampeners? memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Inertial_damperWhen the inertial dampeners worked, the ride on a starship was completely smooth. A glass of water would not spill even when the ship had quick movements / speed changes. But on the Star Trek series every once in a while the dampeners partially failed and people would be thrown around and get hurt. But their injuries were easily fixed as already mentioned. Imo at least, BB ;-)
