I'm having one now. Should I mask myself when I go out so that people (mostly old people) will have a ridiculous false sense of safety, or should I treat it like the total BS that it is?
I still haven't decided, so until I decide I am going out unmasked.

Im not going to be specific but this was probably the biggest ethical situation in my life. When I was working for a particular company and was just starting out, I accidentally revealed some info to an individual that he/she shouldntve known. That individual wasnt exactly respectable either and could very well be damaging. So I decided whether to tell my manager or not. I did tell my manager and it was fine. Was told not to do it again and to be more careful in the future. Thanked me for being honest and coming forward with this situation too

In some cases up to 40% and 50% in nursing homes, jails, and prisons. If you don't care that you and everyone else not wearing something so simple as a mask in public to help prevent the spread to the point where hospitals' capacity fails treatment for all...and think it's your political duty to not do so because of what would people think...then you got a big, big ethical problem. My only ethical problem is how much deference I should give to a sinister globalist hoax for the sake of foolish people who have been frightened into believing it's a real pandemic. |

If it's a global plot, then there is nothing you can do but save yourself and your loved ones from dying from a nasty virus. If you don't even care about your family and friends, of whom I'm sure some are over 60, then you got a big, big, biiiiig, ethical problem. It isn't a nasty virus. It's a hoax. And no, I cannot save them, not even if I wear a mask, not even if I vote against Donald Trump in November. So shove it. Thousands of people die every day, and of them many die in hospitals and nursing homes where they can easily be toe-tagged with Covid19. I have a good friend whom I met on YouTube a couple of years ago, really more like a sister than a friend. She's only two years older than me but she has numerous health problems. She is in pain and wants surgery but she knows that if she enters a hospital now she's probably coming out in a body bag. She told me this without any prompting from me. If you care to look you'll see others on the Internet who feel the same way. So if I'm crazy and paranoid, at least I'm not crazy and paranoid all alone. I'm part of a phenomenon. |
