Chris Metallic went missing in November 2012 in Sackville, New Brunswick, and was never found. He left a party unexplained early in the morning saying he was going to walk home, he was out walking around the town for up to 3 hours before he wandered into the woods, never to be seen again. Many theories about his disappearance include the possibility of falling through thin ice, a bear attack, or simply succumbing to the elements in his walk through the forest. But with I myself being born and raised in Sackville, I have another possible theory, but of course take this with a grain of salt. Growing up in this area I am AMAZED at the insanely high amount of drug activity going on, the amount of drug activity is absolutely unbelievable but easy to notice if you spend any amount of time in the town. I have had a conversation with a reformed drug dealer who dealed in Sackville and served time in prison, saying how he got out of dealing because of 1. His girlfriend was pregnant and he had a daughter on the way, and 2. The amount of death threats he received from other dealers in the area included breaking into his home at night and threatening him at gunpoint. But what does this have to do with Chris Metallic you may ask?
I am absolutely not trying to commit defamation of character, especially against a deceased person, but it is entirely possible that he got deep into drugs, and with how violent and unforgiving the drug market is in Sackville. All it takes is Metallic to owe some drug money that he couldn’t pay, and suddenly they’re out for his blood. It’s entirely possible that at approximately 2:30 AM he saw someone at that party that he owed money and was out of time to pay it back. It would explain the sudden leaving the party in enough of a rush that he left his phone and glasses behind. Metallic was very drunk and likely, very scared. He could’ve been looking for a place to hide for the night, especially not wanting to go home if there was somebody after him. The hours of wandering around followed by quickly retreating to the woods. The most likely next scenario is that he either died due to hypothermia whether it was in water or just the cold woods. The other possibility is that he was finally caught, and promptly murdered. The amount of empty fields and farmland in the area highly leads me to believe that the body was hidden, or he was underwater.
Please let me know if you have any more information, or anything at all that would reinforce or disprove this theory.

EDIT: I see a lot of people are thinking my exclusive thoughts are that he was killed over drug money, but I’m looking at that as the less likely of the drug possibilities. I think the most likely thing is exactly like u/cenimsaj said in that he was either threatened over drug money, or saw somebody he owed drug money and ran scared and extremely drunk, which would explain why he didn’t want to go home, and why he retreated into the woods.
