This is basically a ripoff, right? Or does anyone think the quality of the articles is worth the extra money? Seems to me they are putting more and more stuff behind a paywall.

Yep, it pisses me off when I am interested in reading an article and then see the espn insider logo. And you're right, it is happening much more often. Soon espn.com will be pay only service and then they can forget about me bothering to even look at their site.

Seems to me they are putting more and more stuff behind a paywall. you pretty much get analysis and predictions that is wrong 99% of the time from folks like me, you and SBNation bloggers........ i still seemed to get angered at those articles that are 'insider related' as if im missing out on some top notch analysis when i can't read further - it's like - 'damnit - i'm not in the know.....' but then settle down and realize it's coming from mel kiper and like i said it's like you and me and SBNation bloggers throwing darts at a board..............

Soon espn.com will be pay only service and then they can forget about me bothering to even look at their site. That's why they'll never be a pay-only service - too many will be turned off so they'll be shooting themselves in the foot. They'll concentrate on placing more intrusive ads on their articles before they ever do that.
