By a black security guard.
Had to go to the parking authorizing in the city in which my daughter lives to get a parking permit. It's not in a great area, tons of traffic, huge minority population, mostly poor, streets crowded, everyone wearing masks and some also wearing gloves. We had to wait outside the building, and we were the only white women on line. The security guard inside keeps looking out at the line, and after about three or four minutes, he comes up to us and asks us what we needed. We told him a parking permit. So, he looks up and down the line, and says, "Come with me." We go into the building, and up to this really neat machine that takes your temperature, and announces: "Temperature normal". He asks for ID to be placed against a plexiglass divider to record us going in, and directs us to the elevator and tells us what floor to exit. This guy was tall and big . . . think Terry Crews big. Really nice guy, really good looking. And he's being so pleasant with us; in the meantime, he yelled at these two guys who were standing too close to other people in another office doorway right off the lobby.
We go into the parking authority office, and we're there about 15 or so minutes conducting our business. The lady was very nice and helpful. I noticed a couple of people who were in line before us outside come into the office. They were minorities.
It then occurred to me that the security guard took us two white ladies in before the other people standing in line. I figured it was because they had business in other areas of the building, not the parking authority. But from the two people who came in who were in line in front of us outside, I guess not. I felt really uncomfortable after that. Weird. I wonder why the security guard did that? I had no problem waiting in line.

He was probably afraid you'd get mugged. That's what my daughter said.
