who was disappointed when he found out that America had won World War II?
At the end of Captain America: The First Avenger, Steve Rogers wakes up in 2011, runs out of the building into Times Square, and gets a sudden culture shock. Nick Fury tells Rogers that he had been asleep for 70 years and asks if Rogers is OK. Someone who had been in a war against the Nazis and had been asleep for 70 years would've asked "Who won the war?" or "Did we win the war?"
But Rogers never even asks about the war. Instead Rogers is disappointed and says "I had a date." So Rogers didn't care about the war or about fighting the Nazis and was only concerned that the didn't get to go on a date with Peggy Carter.
Some dumb MCU fans have claimed that Rogers didn't ask who won the war because he could tell America had won the war because there were no swastikas in Times Square. Even if that were true, then Rogers should've been overjoyed to know that America won the war. But Rogers wasn't happy at all.
Despite finding out that America had won the war, Rogers' reaction wasn't joy but disappointment that he didn't get to go on a date with Peggy Carter. Is Captain America the only American soldier who was disappointed when he found out that America had won World War II?

What is your deal with all this Marvel bashing. Oh wait, I know, you are afraid GOTG2 will set box office records.

The poor guy is terrified. It's going to be like Super Bowl 51 all over again. I think a gang of MCU fans beat up AH/DC in a Hooters parking lot.

What is your deal with all this Marvel bashing. I'm not bashing. I'm just asking a question. I ask a lot of questions about movies. For example, in Captain America: Civil War, Tony Stark (who somehow knew that a random high school kid was Spider-Kid) didn't know for 25 years that his parents were murdered and thought that they died in a road accident. My question was: Why did Tony Stark think for 25 years that his parents died in a road accident when the coroner's report would've said "Maria Stark cause of death - asphyxiation due to strangulation" and would've noted that the autopsy revealed that there were palm prints around her throat and her larynx was crushed? How the hell does Tony Stark think that "cause of death - asphyxiation due to strangulation" means accidental death in a road accident and not murder? you are afraid GOTG2 will set box office records. Nope, not afraid at all. I already saw GotG2 online and it sucked.

If I had a date with Peggy Carter/Hayley Atwell, that's all I'd think about too
