Apart from the whole Greedo thing, the sound Obi Wan makes when he scares off the sand people, I think the special editions for the most part improve the OT. The death star assault in particular is even more amazing.
Do you prefer the originals as they were or do you prefer the special editions?

I used to like the changes but they seem frivolous now, except for a few things in TESB like the arrival at Bespin or the herd of banthas in ROTJ.

I just like having access to both. The updated version works better when viewed alongside the whole current saga. That said, a fan edit like Adywan's Star Wars Revisited would be my preferred cut.

I tend to watch episode 4 the most. Thinking of the others, I wasn't keen on Hayden Christensen replacing his older self at the end of ROTJ.
