Atletico have been terrible so far. Good chance just there for them. Great game so far.

Corner after corner for RM.
Offside should have been given when Carvajal crossed the first time before CR7 scored. Blind linesman. Carvajal must be the best RB in Europe with Marcelo as best LB

Atletico have settled now and stopped the supply that was coming from Modric, Isco and Kroos. Pretty even now
A round of applause for ref Martin Atkinson. Doesn't believe in blowing his whistle too often.

I know some people don't like Ronaldo but... Christ, he's good.
Hat trick.

CR7 has an amazing ability to put the ball in the net when it comes to him in the penalty area.

Atletico were fine until they got near the RM penalty area, then they ran out of ideas. They couldn't find that final pass. Much credit for that goes to Varane and Ramos and when RM break away there's Rin Tin Tin ready to pounce.

Sometimes I read that certain sections of Real fans continue to boo Ronaldo. It's like...what else can a football player possibly do for a single club? Cure cancer while he is scoring these hattricks?

Very average footballer, with unbelievable fitness levels and determination to match.
He got the hattrick(let's be honest 2 of the goals were easy tap ins due to great assists put on a plate for him by teammates) the second was a great finish but a massive stroke of luck with the rebound falling kindly for him.
All in all he's a very effective and consistent player but his all round play doesn't impress me at all. He's not a genius, he's not a player that has you on the edge of your seat when he's on the ball. He's usually anonymous for large chunks of matches. And it helps being sorrounded by top class teammates instructed to constantly serve you at every opportunity.
For me his dedication and professionalism is more admirable than his talent and style of play.

Atleti were abysmal in practically every aspect of the game tonight and deservedly got pasted.

That was the only shot RM had in the second half up to that point

Cure cancer while he is scoring these hattricks? He could try not being so arrogant, so punchable, so divey, and so, dare I say it, rapey. So how many of the RM goals were dodgy tonight? Just the opener which opened the floodgates was it?

That's coming from opposition fans, but if Ronaldo was on your team and scoring these goals, you would jeer him? It is a tough one, I wouldn't like his antics that's for sure, I might turn a blind eye to some of it, but it would irritate me. Away from the football though, if one of my players had two rape allegations against him or had killed a man (not saying Ronaldo has), I wouldn't go to another game, and that's the truth of it, I wouldn't want to be left with that awkward dilemma of "do I celebrate one of his goals?".
