With Mother's Day fast approaching, it's time for us to reflect upon one of the IMDB Sports Board's greatest moments - when Beardy predicted Dallas Braden's perfect game the week it happened. It was April in 2010. Dallas Braden and the A's were facing off against Beardy's beloved Yankees. A-rod, being the dickhead that he is, ran across the pitcher's mound, Dallas Braden's pitching mound mind you, en route to the dugout after recording an out. Well, Dallas was having none of it and proceeded to engage in a behavior that Beardy always found appalling (and something I agreed with him on) - enforcing the so-called unwritten rules by throwing a hissy fit on the mount and subsequently spending some time whining to the press about it. It got coverage for a few weeks in the highlight shows. Naturally, this discussion get some play on the board - what are unwritten rules, should they be "enforced," when does it go too far, etc. During the second week of May, after weeks of the discussion on the board, Beardy felt that Dallas, a mediocre pitcher on a mediocre team, was taking such public umbrage as a means of getting his name in the papers, saying something on the board to the effect of " The only way people will know the name Dallas Braden is if he whines like a complete bitch about something meaningless, or throws a perfect game." Lo and behold, in Braden's next start (after Beardy's comment, not after the actual incident), he tosses a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays and his place in history, as well as Beardy's, was sealed. Beardy, wherever you may be, know that your old friends on the sports board will always remember this episode as one of the greatest in IMDB Sports Board lore.

Nuts, you're an all-star on this board.

I came back, try to keep up with board news!
But yeah, I remember that. Freaked me out a bit. I started to think I was Magic there for a few days.
But yeah, like Gus Fring on Better Call Saul, I'm back. Well, not "back" since this is a different board, but you know, whatever. I came back since I was on a 12 hour Twitter timeout and the Devils got the #1 overall pick and I wanted to make a corny joke about it. I won't be around as much as I was back there, but like Bruce Willis told Liv Tyler in the totally accurate cinema classic Armageddon: I'll check in on ya from time to time. Especially when Twitter gives me 12 hours, which is fucking often

I don't like how most people have several stars and I have just the one. Makes me feel insecure. Kinda like standing at a urinal next to Tommy Lee and taking a peak
