Have any of you seen this version of the movie? What are your thoughts on it if you have? How do you compare it with the theatrical cut and Redux versions?

Final - 9/10 Theatrical - 9/10 Redux - 6/10 some parts just drag, some scenes are inconsistent with character, and I was rarely motivated to watch it when it was the only version on home video.

The redux version is certainly less focused. On the way to Colonel Kurtz, why not stop at a French plantation?

I've only seen Redux. I have a question about Apocalypse Now. In the movie, at Kurtz's camp there were dead bodies all over the place. Who were those dead people? Were they members of Kurtz's tribe that were sacrificed or killed for some reason, or were they enemy combatants to the tribe? I always assumed they were either members of other tribes who were in conflict with Kurtz's people, or members of his cult who were punished for some reason.
