Al Horford and Isaiah Thomas are clicking at the right time.
Basketball is all about who is in a rhythm as a team at the right time.
CAVS are up and down right now. The duo of Horford and Thomas with their supporting cast is just gelling at the right moment. I'm not saying Boston can win the NBA title, but they will win the East.

Maybe I missed something, did Boston win their series with the Wizards?

That was an amazing game. Thomas and Wall on top form.

Maybe I missed something, did Boston win their series with the Wizards? I've seen all I need to see. The Wizards have more fire power and probably a better team on paper, but they aren't a cohesive unit. If you punch them in the mouth, they fold. This was evident in game one and in game two even more so. They have every opportunity to close that game 2, but they missed open looks when the pressure was on, the Celtics were thriving under pressure, they seemed to excel in OT, the Wizards had that look like "ah man, we have to keep playing?" The Celtics looked determined to do what it takes to win.

The Cavs are "up and down"? They swept the first round, and in the first game of the second round, Toronto didn't even seem to show up.

Ha Ha sure. Boston will get killed. There is no way the Cavs do not win the East. The Cavs are up and down right now at 5-0 in the playoffs.

Based on what? I'm a Boston fan and I still don't see the Celtics beating the Cavs this year. And as someone already pointed out, let's get through this round before we start talking about the Cavs.

Based on what? I'm a Boston fan and I still don't see the Celtics beating the Cavs this year. And as someone already pointed out, let's get through this round before we start talking about the Cavs. Based on the eye test. Certain teams match up better with others. You'll see when Isaiah Thomas can't be guarded by the Cavs. If the Celtics play the CAVS the way they played Washington the first two games (punch them in the mouth) you'll see old LeBron come out, crying, making excuses, folding under pressure. He hasn't had a team punch his team in the mouth in a while. The east has cowered down to LeBron's teams ever since the Big 3 in Boston dismantled. Horford, Thomas an co. are in a zone right now, a fighting mode. The CAVS will have a lead on BOS, due to their talent. Then late in the 3rd quarter, Boston will go on a run, CLE will be on the ropes, they will punch them in the gut, and you'll see how LeBron and co. react. They HATE having to grind out wins. They will fold, and then LeBron will cry and make excuses in the media after they lose game one.

Based on the eye test, Cleveland should win easily. Cleveland has been dominant in the post season while the C's have struggled in every game. Cleveland won the regular season matchup 3-1, including a blowout of the C's in Boston late in the season.
Hey, I'm a Boston fan. IT and Bradley are in a groove right now and they're getting contributions from everyone at key moments. It also helps to have home court advantage. But pound for pound, Cleveland is just better. It's a tough matchup and it isn't impossible, but I don't see the Celtics knocking off the Cavs this year.
And this is assuming they get by the Wizards.

All I know for sure is that Boston cannot keep getting killed in the first quarter and depend on the come back. It finally came back to bite them last night.

I'm a Celtics fan, but there's no way they get past the Cavaliers. And, as many have said, that is assuming they get past the Wizards. As of tonight, I can't say I expect them to do so.

Man, the east is weak.
I mean the west, so dang hard to get through it.
Golden State/San Antonio/Houston/Clippers/Jazz/OKC...so much talent
The east....you got Cleveland...Boston is next? Washington? Toronto. The west just seems a lot harder to get through. If Lebron played in the west, he wouldnt be going to another finals. Def not this many in a row.
