I bought the complete series on DVD, but it's been nearly 7 years since I watched any of it. Since then, I've been busy watching a bunch of other shows, steadily working my way to present day. Along the way, I also watched some of the reunion series from the '80s, Still the Beaver/The New Leave it to Beaver, which someone had recorded and were selling DVD copies. I would by it in a minute of that series is ever given an official release.

They've run it so many times where I live I'd have no problem if I never saw it again, but I admit Eddie Haskell was funny.

I can watch it on Peacock, but it's also available on MeTV, I think it's every weekend or something. I record and record and record until I get about 12 of them, and then I binge watch them.
What I HATE about watching MeTV is that they have way, way too many of those animal abuse commercials, and that makes me avoid watching the entire channel all together. I know they need to be shown, but instead of watching it and inspiring me to donate, what happens is I don't watch MeTV and instead I watch Netflix or Peacock where I don't have to see those dreadful animal abuse commercials which break my heart. Plus, they're so long. Too long. And by the time I grab my remote and try to turn the volume down or change the channel I've already been traumatized enough as it is.

Ward, I think you're being a little rough on the beaver.
Actually one of the better "idealized family" shows. Better than Ozzie and Harriet, The Brady Bunch, et al. Ward got pissed every now and then.

Great show but I’ve never really thought of revisiting it

Eddie Haskell is my favorite on the show. If and when it's available and I'm not watching something else.

It was often a little more cynical than it was given credit for. The Cleaver parents' biggest problem in raising their kids was in having to deal with the not-so-nice people around them--such as the unscrupulous shoe salesman who sold Beaver the wrong size of skates, or Beaver's friend who taught Beaver to unwittingly call his Mexican friend a slur in Spanish. Most of the boys' friends were jerks-from Haskell to Lumpy to Whitey to Larry Mondello. June and Ward had to protect their sons from those crummy influences.
