How did that dinosaur know to remove it’s tracking device?
Good film though.

It took an extension course at the local public school.

Didn't you listen to Star-Lord? She remembered where they planted it. Probably pissed her off.

Jurassic World was stupid and terrible for a lot of reasons.
The sequel that followed though was a thousand times worse.

I know this franchise has thrilling moments, but I don't think it's enough to say it belongs in this board.

I know this franchise has thrilling moments, but I don't think it's enough to say it belongs in this board. Well we had a Jurassic Park board all to itself at one time but suddenly it disappeared.

Cause it’s smart AF. Despite that silly reason, I still enjoy it.

They genetically engineered a creature smarter than the humans.

Jurassic World is one of the most entertaining blockbusters of the last decade. Not great (or even really all that good), but I find it to be a super fun watch.
I can get over the stupidity pretty easy.

The first film thinks it's playing on the same level as the original Jurassic Park and is embarrassing at every turn. Regardless, fuck both, I'll watch Jurassic Park III any time over either one.

I'd agree, but Fallen Kingdom was an embarrassment to me lol. I'd be more excited for the third one if all of the OG's weren't coming back. That means we'll get less of a movie with the new characters and more of them trying to shoehorn the old actors into the story. It kind of shows the lack of talent overall behind the camera of this new trilogy (mostly the writers) that Fallen Kingdom was so bad. The first one had the benefit of nostalgia and following a similar blueprint as the original JP (to a fault in many ways), but once they went off and tried to do something for themselves it just sucks. I give them props for going big, though. Blowing up Isla Nublar and making a little girl responsible for the death of many innocents to free the dinos were certainly big moves lol.

Lol I actually enjoyed Fallen Kingdom. It was nuts but go-for-broke nuts. After searching for further updates on the third one (named Dominion), there’s hints of Biosyn coming back along with Lewis Dodgson (now played by Campbell Scott) and a new photo suggests Isla Sorna aka Site B is involved. http://instagram.com/p/CDmCAnaHqKy www.digitalspy.com/movies/a33561025/jurassic-world-3-set-photo-original-trilogy/

I don't know that Jurassic World is trying to be taken as seriously as the original, if it is the they should be embarrassed (they should anyway), but it's basically a remake of the first with shallower characters (when the original didn't have complex characterization on it's side to begin with), and much lamer plot details. The next one, you're right, couldn't possibly have been intended to be serious because it was lame, stupid, and horrible in every conceivable way. It was at least more entertaining than the first, because it was too shockingly absurd and brain dead to be boring. It somehow was both predictable and incomprehensible at the same time. I'll eventually see the next one when I don't have to pay for it, but it's gonna be fucking terrible. The only question is really which style of terrible it's going to be. I don't think any of the sequels are really worth the time of day, but I do kind of agree that I'd rather see Jaruassic Park III then the more recent God awful unintentional parodies.

How would it not know where the tracking device was? It wasn't a microchip, it was the size of a football. They had to have implanted it after it was fully grown, and even if it was tranquilized to the point of immobility that doesn't necessarily mean it was completely unconscious. It's a creature with the strength of a t-rex and the intelligence of a velociraptor. Of course it was going to figure out how to remove the tracker.

'A highly intelligent animal' as Star-Lord put it I think.

I think you put more thought into this than the actual writers of the film.

JW is one of the worst movies I've seen in a theater but I had to pretend to like it because I took my kid and she loved it. Didn't want to be "negative."
