Burn After Reading for me. It seems somewhat overlooked in the Coen Bro filmography.
Hail Caesar was really good until about the last 20 minutes. It gets too silly.

Burn After Reading
I like both though.

I thought Hail, Caesar was a lot of fun. "Would that it t'were so simple" is one of the funniest scenes of their filmography.
Burn After Reading had its moments, but spy comedies were already played out in 2008 and this didn't add much new to the genre. The most entertaining character also gets Billy Costigan'd halfway through.

Burn After Reading. Middle-range Coens, but fun. I actually prefer it to at least a couple of their more well-regarded films (Lebowski, No Country).
i enjoyed the Fiennes/Ehrenreich parts of Hail, Caesar! but the dreadful George Clooney sections dragged it down.

They’re both good movies. I don’t think I have a preference. Hail, Caesar! is a bit more fun. Burn After Reading is a little more intense.

I remember enjoying 'Burn' when I saw it at the theater, but I can't recall much about it now. 'Hail Caesar' was great on multiple counts: engaging, convoluted caper in the best Coen tradition, strong and varied cast, the dead-on pastiches of classic Hollywood.
