Did anyone find it strange that on sitcoms like Leave It To Beaver and The Brady Buunch, the teens never kissed their dates. Wally had quite a few galpals. Even something as chaste as a kiss on the hand or cheek could not have been that suggestive?

Times were weird back then...
Lucy Ricardo was not PREGNANT with Little Ricky... She was EXPECTING...
And many couples did not sleep in the same bed... They slept in separate beds... And in some cases, both beds were pushed together, to appear as one, but were still two beds. Not sure what that was about...
And anyone with half a brain knew that when couples were smoking cigarettes, they had been having sex in just one of the beds, so that the wife would later become PREGNANT with their children without the assistance of a Stork...
By the way, Humans on Kirk's Enterprise, still went to the bathroom, even though we never saw such facilities on Star Trek...
Thankfully, later TV Shows ended that strange mystery by showing showers & bathtubs, and talking about Poop & "toilets".

There is nothing wrong with the term expecting I like subtle to some extent. I think mentioning body functions on TV should be subtle as well. But you are right, shows back then went to extremes. I recall being a little startled when on "Father Knows Best" the dad hinted at Betty risking pregnancy because she came home late from a date. He stated to his wife, " Don't complain when you have another mouth to feed. " The dialogue was so square the majority of the time, that the line caught me off guard. However, the opposite is true in today's shows. Especially Grey's Anatomy, sometimes the dialogue was too exp!icit, considering it was running during family hour.

It was implied that Greg Brady made out with his dates at the drive-in, because he and his girlfriend were so frustrated when they were forced to take Bobby and his pet frog along in one episode.
Of all the characters on The Brady Bunch, it was Bobby who got the most on-screen action when a little girl kissed him and he saw "skyrockets." She was suspected of having the mumps, and the whole family had to worry about whether Bobby was infected. This seemed like a veiled, sanitized reference to STDs--about as daring as the show ever got.

I think he kissed that shallow girl who wanted to be head cheerleader on the cheek when they went on a beach date. The girl in the drive-in episode was Sherwood'daughter. She also appeared in few more episodes. I also remember watching a rerun, when Cousin Oliver stated to Cindy, her mom did not want to discuss sex with them when they were talking with her about Cindy's pet bunnies. In addition, remember when Greg stole the rival's mascot goat and hid it in his room. His brothers and dad thought he was sneaking his girlfriend up there.
