Amongst sexual harassment allegations (not excusing any behavior here) I don't consider myself 'Democrat' or 'Republican'. Controversial entertainment figure. Like to to listen to all sides of every issue and have an open mind. Now Bill is one who has taken his fair share of bashing over the years. One thing I can say about Mr. O'Reilly - agree or disagree with his viewpoints - he was always entertaining. And truth be told - that's all I ask for in life nowadays as an escape from the real world. Entertain me. Anybody have a favorite O'Reilly moment out there from years past - or perhaps to tie in sports - maybe an sports entertainment figure who entertained you over the years who has been dismissed from their job? My favorite O'Reilly moment? 'We'll do it Live!' O'Reilly Flips - We'll Do it Live!

I loved watching O'Reilly because he wouldn't let the liberals get away with their lying and corrupt bullshit! If he had a liberal on the show he's stop them short if they went off on a tangent about left-wing subterfuge and double-talk.
His books are fvery informative nad entertaining....you should try a couple of them.
P.S. I used to watch Fox News in the evening all the time. Now that he's gone I don't find it compelling anymore.

I agree he is entertaining, but what a weasel. How can you have someone like this on the news? I suppose they'll just find someone even worse, like Hannity or maybe give that muppet, Alex Jones, a call.

Russell Brand having a conversation with someone on tv while he is somwhere else indicates that Brand may be suffering massive brain damage, Well if he has suffered brain damage, I'm glad it is the sort that occasionally makes you want to point out the error of their ways at Fox News (and the world). I don't know if he has the solutions, but at least he knows the problems, and that's a start. The funny thing is, most these guys at Fox say they are Christians, and sure, they probably love Jesus when he is just a character in a book, but if someone like Jesus actually ran for president, with his main focus being on helping the poor and needy, then the entire Fox Network would be spending every waking minute of the day savagely attacking and condemning him. In fact Jesus would probably be Bill's pinhead of the day for 365 days running (with no respite for Xmas or Easter).

I was all ready to hate O'Reilly but my hating of Russell Brand got in the way. I don't rate Russell Brand when it comes to stand up comedy, I'm not a big fan of his columns in the Guardian or Observer or whoever it was he was writing for (more his writing style I don't like rather than the content), he is ill suited to Newsnight (I don't think his beliefs had been interrogated rigorously enough before he went on, so he was made to look a little silly by people whose job it is to ask tough questions), and I think he tries too hard when he is on light entertainment shows like Graham Norton or Jonathan Ross. But I dunno, despite all this, I still find him very likeable. He's a good egg in my book. I liked his youtube channel and I liked him when he was presenting Big Brother's Little Brother (years ago when I used to watch it, I think that was his first break into TV?). But I think he's stopped doing the youtube stuff now which is a shame.

He's charismatic but a lightweight. He has no hinterland.

Well the trouble is, he's been a waster for most his life. I think most of us get more intelligent as we get older but he's had years wasted on heroin, so he's still relatively early in his "journey" if you can call it that. He seems bright enough to me though to get better at commentating at politics or whatever it is he wants to do in the future, whether that is activism or whatever.
