I thought this was better than the third one. I had no clue what was going on but the action scenes were better and Jet Li was a bad ass villain. Also had a nice ending for the characters. While 3 and 4 were a step down from 1 and 2 they are still decent movies.

It's my least favorite of the four. I feel like there way too much emphasis on comedy in it.

I like 3, but is my least favorite of the franchise. I said it before, but IMO, the villain in LW3 is the weakest of all. Jet Li is a great villain, and I really enjoy LW4 on every rewatch.

I liked it much better than I liked 3, it was a nice way to wrap up the franchise.

I remember liking it when it came out but ive barely rewatched it in 20 years. I always liked Li as the villain and i remember Murtaugh and Riggs both taking him on, which i was a fan of because I always thought they underplayed Murtaughs toughness. Danny Glover was a pretty big boy and i always liked seeing him knock people around.

I liked 1 and 2....very enjoyable and coherent....but then for me, they became excruitiatingly annoying. 3 was awful despite Rene Russo .........and 4.....Good grief !!
The bloody annoying background music feebly attempting to help the tedious buddy scenes and tickle the attempted comedic scenes.
I kept hoping that Mel G would effing shoot the horn player lurking in the background like an unwelcome, boorish uncle .
Leo Getz became iintolerably irritating , my least by miles fave Pesci performances.
The nadir of his acting career roles.
I still put those shlte movies ineptness down to the 'creators' as opposed to the performances.....but what wasted opportunities to add to the canon ...instead of blooody ruining it.
The worst sequels I've ever been subjected to.
All in my humble opinion of course.

I enjoy all 4 of them. The first time I watched them all I liked 4 a bit more than 3, but after a second run through of the series, I liked 3 slightly more.

A huge improvement on 3, which is just plain weak.
I love the way the series evolves. 1 is basically a serious-minded crime thriller. 2 adds a layer of comedy to the proceedings, while 4 is more action-comedy than anything else.

Yeah, I'll definitely take it over 3 any day. Chris Rock is a little annoying, especially when they make the grievous mistake of letting him and Joe Pesci play off of each other, but I like Jet Li and Uncle Benny a lot, and the heartfelt stuff you get near the end is genuinely pretty effective. I think it's a nice farewell to the characters.

It was an improvement over the third film, but I think it tried to overcompensate too much with all the comedy. The action scenes were good, if I remember. Still, Jet Li made for an intense villain.
