I don't understand why she censors some names and titles but not others. I wonder which GOSSIP GIRL character she was auditioning for. Most people online seem fixated on what she said about TERMINATOR: GENISYS, but I don't see the big deal. I'm pretty much just starting a career in the industry, but even I know what these situations feel like. In fact, the story about her having to wear a miniskirt made me raise my eyebrow. Even if the character was written to be sexy, it doesn't mean the actress must wear the same outfit while auditioning. Unless she wears baggy clothes, her figure will be noticeable and the makers will decide if she's the "image" they want.
While actors are put to the test, directors don't audition per se. The producers hire them based on their previous movies. And since nobody is perfect, sometimes the director does a bad job despite working with a good cast. Is that what she was trying to convey when she mentioned the directors who don't know what they're doing? Hmmm... I think she could've phrased it better.

She may have censored those name because those actresses may not want anybody to know that they did an audition for those movies.

Is that what she was trying to convey when she mentioned the directors who don't know what they're doing? Hmmm... I think she could've phrased it better. The mini skirt thing I think only makes sense if it is how the character is going to be primarily dressed, not all looks look right on everyone, you know some people can wear a mini skirt and tank top and just be like holy shit you are hot and other people they look like they are trying to look hot, which if one of those outcomes is what you are looking for and the other isn't then you maybe want to know early on, but her being asked to wear the same thing all the time is kind of funny and bad like she said, but the are we here to act or play out fantasies...both most films are kind of that in some form so yeah, I think the fact lots of actresses dressed the same is less a bad thing for an audition as it suggest it is for a reason other then dirty blokes looking to get a stiffy, if she turned up and she saw opnes dressed as a teacher, another a catholic schoolgirl, ones a nurse, the others a cop, and so on that would be the red flag to me like these fuckers are just looking for wank bank material. The director thing is funny though, it's only when she tried so be something else and act a certain way it felt weird...thats the job aint it? you play other characters and act like them not like you, it's called acting for a reason, also whilst what you said is true sometimes for directors it's also true sometimes for actors, bad people get given jobs they shouldn't all the time, I would also think directors are tested more often when they are unknows similar to actors, when you think she's mostly talking about when she was an unknown or lesser known actress, doubt she has the same issues now, different ones for sure same as I guess better known directors have compared to their lesser known peers. This is an interesting video but whilst it shows Brie in a lot nicer light than she has looked in the past it's also still showing a disconnect between her and a normal person, the auditioning is like a job thing, yep just like for normal people trying to find work, if you don't have a job your job is getting a job, pretty much the same for everyone on the planet only difference is when most people get a job they work 40 hours a week and earn a few hundred to maybe $1000 a week, week in and out, not hey I spent 3 days shooting this commercial and I got paid thousands of dollars and could make lots more if it gets played a lot and I don't have to do anything else, but then again actors likely do have to go to more "job interviews" than normal people, oh well they get compensated for it if they succeed, I guess thats the trade off.
