To my shock The New Mutants has not been axed or shipped to Disney+. The trailers and tv spots are looking very exciting and the movie is going to be the final chapter of the Fox xmen universe when it is released next week. Another revolutionary innovation into the genre by Fox instead of the usual vanilla we get served by others Do Disney have the grapefruits to keep this franchise moving forward. Keeping the same horror mature tone and possibly tieing it into MCU xmen in the future. Or are they going to play it safe and bin the new mutants like they will with Deadpool because it doesnt follow their predictable safe, non-threatning formula of captain marvel 2 and antman 2 Nice sly dig, that'll help the kids sleep better

I guess you just couldn't stay away, huh?

Supposedly, Disney is contractually obligated to put this in theaters.

Why would they keep this going? Everyone is like 10 years older. They aren't the New Mutants anymore. They'd have to recast.

Probably not. They're obviously going to reboot the X-Men and put them in the MCU.

No, but they have the brains not to.

No, but not for the reason you think.

They won't. Also, Disney is releasing this to theaters at a time when a lot of theaters are closed and very few people are going to the ones that are open. They want this movie to crash and burn and it most likely will given the circumstances.

Yes. I think the trilogy will be completed after the sequels to Prince Of Persia, John Carter, and Mars Needs Moms are released.

But will they continue the story and make sequels and tie it into mcu x-men Obviously not, Marvel will want to introduce Mutants into their world their way, not just haphazardly with a Fox made New Mutants movie no one had enough faith in to actually put out on time, could they keep elements or tones from the movie and carry it over into their own relaunch of the X-Men? possibly but this movie is a remnant of a now dead franchise at this point.
