Jean-Claude Van Damme is a significantly better actor, but Under Siege and Above the Law are better than all of Jean-Claude Van Damme's movies.

JCVD the movie is way damme better than Under Siege. JCVD doesn't do much for me, but I won't argue. It is a smarter movie, I'll give it that.

I prefer Van Damme. I just recently discovered they remade Kickboxer in 2016 called, Kickboxer: Vengence, with Dave Bautista as Tong Po. How weird is that?

Interesting trivia, did you know Van Damme was supposed to play the title character in Predator (1987)? He was let go when the producers thought he was too small and non threatening looking compared to Arnold, Weathers, and Ventura (also he was a bit of an asshole)

Seems like a weird choice for Big Dave, even in 2016.

Hadn't seen that many JCVD movies but I enjoyed both Under Siege and Under Siege 2. I've seen them both play villains and liked their performances.

Under Siege is Die Hard on a Battleship and Sudden Death is Die Hard in a sports stadium. I grew up watching their movies.

I just watched it yesterday for the first time since I was a teenager, which was 20 years ago.

I would go JCVD. Find him enjoyable to watch, and more consistent with his films. Even his DTV stuff. While I love Seagal’s first 4 films, but after that it’s few and far between.
