I never knew there was a British Marilyn Monroe. She was hot in "The Unholy Wife," bruh!

I love her Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode. It was banned for being too gruesome.

The guy on TCM said when Diana Dors came to Hollywood, there was an incident with her husband punching a photographer that ruined her reputation in America. Tragic.

She was too much for skinny Jimmy Stewart to handle. She could have taken on Raymond Burr herself and wrestled him to defeat.
I'd seen her in lots of UK films from the late 60s and 70s-usually as the grouchy overweight wife, mistress, or witch. I finally watched one of her early films THE LONG HAUL. Wow! Quite different when younger. She was more of a cerebral actress than Monroe conveyed but she more voluptuous too (like Mansfield but with brains) so I suspect she would have been told to go on a crash diet or tossed to the drive-in circuit like Mamie Van Doren was.
