“ Writer, director Don Coscarelli and producer, co-writer Paul Pepperman have reclaimed the rights to The Beastmaster and are making future plans.” movieweb.com/beastmaster-remake/I remember liking the original film, kind of a low-rent Conan the Barbarian. With animal sidekicks. It’s goofy but fun.

He should make a Beastmaster/Phantasm crossover. I’m sure the world’s ready for that.

There's already been 3 movies and a TV series. The show was pretty good but the sequel movies not so much. They could never recapture the magic of the original movie in a remake and they should not even try.

At least they won't have to dye a Tiger's Fur black this time... Always heard it died from a reaction to the Paint... Now looking it up it appears one Tiger died from getting put under to apply the Dye. Not from the non toxic Vegetable Dye.

It's a friggin tiger! That's still pretty cool!

It's a friggin tiger! That's still pretty cool! I guess they preferred it to be a Panther... They had to dye several Tigers.you can tell in certain shots they were dyed around the mouth etc. Apparently they had a ton of issues with the animals on set. The Ferrets had to have food thrown about to perform. The Hawk refused to fly unless prompted by throwing it out at great heights etc. The Russian Bear almost attacked the Crew and calmed down... etc. I'd assume they'd be able to make one look like a Panther through CGI... No way in hell they'd try dying one now a days. Still a bit bummed one big Cat had to die for a freaking movie... (I am that annoying animal loving poster...)
