Is anyone really clamoring for a remake of Urban Legend?

Is anyone really clamoring for a remake of Urban Legend? Can be made on the cheap and has some name recognition I guess

Didn't see the original. Surprised no one tried to remake The Faculty yet.

Did people even care that much about the original?

I liked the first one.
The link says it's a reboot; not a remake. That makes me more optimistic. Reboot > remake. Horror remakes are generally awful, like that terrible Nightmare on Elm Street remake.
It would be much easier to make a good remake/reboot of Urban Legend than most horror movies, because the movie is remembered for the urban legend related killings more than for the characters.

I liked Urban Legend. Dunno what those guys are talking about. I would put it above I Know What You Did Last Summer.
The gas station scene in the beginning with the stuttering man was scary. ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/xxn5mvzx5/hairrise.gif)
It's an okay slasher movie.

watched this for the first time. It was a fun movie if nothing spectacular. Pretty much what you'd expect with a young director and low budget.

I doubt anyone feels really nostalgic for the original, but it had a good premise. Taking the premise of killings inspired by urban legends and rewriting everything else would make sense. I hope that is what the reboot is about.

Yeah I liked the opening scene. Brad Dourif.
And the Clearasil girl was freaking scary.
But they can go in completely different directions if they were imaginative.
haha ..like that's going to happen...
