It would be great if he called Disney a racist company with a plantation mentality.

What nuance and depth was given to the Rey and Kylo Ren ?
But i would say its fair that more attention was given to Daisy Ridley not because she is white but because she played the lead character.
That being said. He has a point

I saw the films on Blu-ray... and was pissed, that a small creature that was supposed to be in one of the films, who was based on Carrie Fisher's Dog, was nowhere to be seen... Another marketing tactic, that was pushed aside for the final cut of the film.
And we thought the prequel films were bad?... The sequel trilogy will be remembered far worse for many reasons.

The real problem is that the sequels suck and pretty much all the new characters sucked. Adam Driver did everything he could to bring depth and nuance to Kylo Ren but even he couldn’t overcome bad writing

the white actors were always the leads, he was always a sidekick character. But you would be surprised to know that Finn probably had more screentime than Driver, eventhough it was b plot stuff.
If fans would have bought more Finn and Rose toys , they would have better stories, instead they were put on clearance

I'm sure he is disappointed. I would be too if I was him. But people know him now because of Star Wars. He has friggin Star Wars action figures of himself. I'm sorry but that's cool as hell and he'll always have that. There is a lot of good that came from taking this role, even if it was ultimately underwhelming.

You just know if Kylo Ren had been black, there'd be complaints stating that Disney is racist for making a black character the villain.

Yeah, I'm still reeling from the race riots that erupted after Idris Elba was cast as the villain in Star Trek Beyond. And Hobbs and Shaw. And The Jungle Book. And Cats.

I don't think that's the right way to look at this. Employees have a right to speak up if they're dissatisfied, no matter how much money they make or how high in the work hierarchy they go. You just know if Kylo Ren had been black, there'd be complaints stating that Disney is racist for making a black character the villain. From whom?

Yep, sounds like he's saying the same thing that i did pretty much... When i brought up how the diversity is bad, when i brought it up a month earlier on the SW section.

The sad part is, the sequel trilogy has already such a junk bin legacy, this isn't even much of a thing to worry about.
It's like there should've been more diversity with the Sharknado films.

I mean...Kylo and Rey were the two opposing leads for the series right? They should have gotten more depth and screen time than any other characters. Maybe there’s a better example of the supporting cast he can make a case for but if he thought Finn and Rose were as important to the story as Rey and Ren then he was foolish.

The problem was the story wasn't planned out , the middle part wasted Finn and by the third film they had no choice but to focus on Kylo/Rey. I think if they made the last film 3 hours they could have done better with Finn.

There seemed to clearly be either too many hands in the pot or not a clear enough storyboard going in.

It's better to enjoy the sequel trilogy as individual films than as a trilogy.

Iger rushed it out, Kennedy needed JJ and Rian to collaborate on script if doing different directors, a trilogy it needs to be cohesive
