People shit on the remakes but Beauty and the Beast (2017) and Aladdin (2019) would both be in my top 100 all-time. Mulan was never going to be a disaster like some people hoped.

I don't even dislike them that much. Some I genuinely enjoyed like The Jungle Book or Cinderella;Aladdin I liked better than expected. I wasn't a big fan of Beauty and the Beast but found both that and The Lion King remake harmless. The only one I didn't like much was Pete's Dragon.

Especially after the stuff she said about Birds of Prey that were plainly not true.

Their Tomatometers are more or less the same, and both of them have an average score (which is more important) of 7/10. Not that it matters much, since they're very different movies, so critics used different standards when grading them.

Mulan, Tenet--they both are chasing the diversity card really strongly.
It is going to be much more chaotic than 50 years ago with say a Dirty Harry or Airport movie since the audience was well-defined back then.
They weren't trying to make a product for the entire globe which is what is happening now--though in the case of Mulan-kissing China's ass is a big part of it

I have not seen any of the Disney live action remakes so i can not judge them.
But honestly why does anybody care about ratings on rotten tomatoes or any other rating side. Those ratings does not matter.
The reason some people bash on the movies is simple, they don`t like them and they are allowed to not like them just as people are allowed to like them.

I'm not a big fan of Disney but Tenet wasn't all that good a film. People expect it to be so because of Nolan as though he's some god of film that can do no wrong. Denzel's son doesn't have the charisma of his father or his acting ability.
