Which do you like better? For me it's The Sting, and it's not even close. I've always found Butch Cassidy to be very leaden.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
I never really got the hype surrounding The Sting. For me it's just a dull movie.

Robert Shaw was in The Sting, and therefore that makes it better.

The Sting
Newman shines in the poker game on the train where he pretends to be drunk, and lucky.

I prefer Butch and Sundance characters but I prefer the Sting story.
If I had to really go with one without splitting my take, it would be the Sting.

I prefer The Sting. Better flow and story. Butch (etc) was fun to watch once, but upon repeated viewings, it's rather stale . . . really not a good movie.

Butch and Sundance
The Sting is fine but felt too long when I watched it. Butch and Sundance also has those moments but I prefer the lighthearted nature of the earlier sequences to anything in the Sting.

The Sting, although I do really enjoy the former a lot.
