All I remember about it is McMillan from tv commercials saying "whoever controls the spice, controls the universe." He's way too much of a poor man's Charles Durning to make a line like that work. It needed a British accent to give it street cred. Orson Welles could have made that line work though.
And Patrick Stewart in a ship going "what a monster."
But the cast is much more impressive than the new one.

I understand the negativity toward the film but it’s of interest to me. I’d say the two things I liked was the cast (Sian Phillips, Patrick Stewart, Francesca annis, Linda Hunt) and the Toto score.
