There is an acquaintance of mine that is Muslim. She wears the hijab as a cultural cloth. Covering the face & hands is not mandatory...in their culture, that is. That must be true of a neighbor too sweetpea. Thanks for the info!

Most Muslim women are not required to cover their faces, some are required to completely cover their faces to the point where they even cover their eyes with a mesh. Many practicing Muslim women don't even cover their hair and wear modern clothing. Nothing has really changed. But what I was hoping to see was an example of Muslim women being criticised for not wearing face masks (which are required by both men and women and not enforced upon one gender under some ultra conservative idea of modesty). I merely pointed out the irony in your statement since Brits were bellowing not 6 months ago about Muslim women wearing masks. You proceeded to try and use semantics to avoid the issue. If I had not called the critics "right" you would have found some other reason to try and contradict me. But yes, it's not only the right who scream about Muslim women wearing masks, or not wearing them, as you just proved. Anyway Muslim men have to cover their faces now so it's all good. Nothing wrong with being inclusive, init?
