The smiley face killings.
The case a cop told about someone who killed a child and then sent letters to the parents saying which body part he was eating next.
In the disturb category I find it hard to forget the cases of abductions like the 11 year old kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years (and apparently not so far from where she was abducted). And she had two children from the asshole. And he had a criminal record for sex abuse--why the fuck wasn't he being constantly supervised? This sort of thing really pisses me off because the media likes to present the romantic notion that there are no career criminals--they want to encourage this sort of thing.
The other was the case of the three women kidnapped and held prisoner in a room for 11 years-and then the asshole committed suicide after a month in jail.

Hmm... It was a kidnapping ransom case. The girl was seen sitting in a Car propped up looking alive. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Marion_Parker The Wineville Chicken Coop murders... Horrific. The Freeway Killers... There were several. But William Bonin and a few accomplices picked up young boys and men hitchhiking. Sexually assaulting, beating, and torturing them before killing them by strangulation etc. Shoving metal wires in them to check if they were dead. Just awful. The Golden state killer was horrific. Thankfully he was caught. BTK... what a creep. He got away with it so long. The Moors murders... I feel there are probably alot more deaths unaccounted for. Fred and Rosemary West. Ditto for them. Awful Devils. The Beast of Jersey. He would dress up in horrific masks. With spiky bracelets (to deter self defense) as he raped young kids in an Orphanage he worked in. Even dressing up as Santa for the kids. By day he was a skilled day laborer. Loved by the Community. One night he ran a Police blockade all paranoid and was caught in his getup. He eventually died in Prison. Sherry Everly the Pizza girl. She was given a bogus address to deliver and was abducted. The kidnapper called saying she was held hostage in a House with a White picket fence. She's never been found. UM segment. Matt Flores. Out late at night to get $ at an ATM. A suspicious looking guy was seen on video behind him. Creepy. He was later found dead with a Bandana found in his Car. Who killed Matt? Featured on UM. The boys on Train tracks. Two boys were out night hunting and later found dead on Train tracks. A guy in Army fatigues was seen prowling around. It's thought maybe they stumbled upon a Drug drop and were killed. Never solved. UM segment. BoBo and another Sea Lion. Were both fed Firecrackers and died. The two douchebags did community service. Not creepy. But animal abuse always bothers me. Featured on Unsolved mysteries. Bill and Dorothy Wacker. Old couple terrorised relentlessly by an unknown person for almost a decade. Dorothy was attacked twice and their home was vandalised. Whoever did it (or why) was never determined. The scariest thing? This could happen to anyone.
The Circleville Letters. Basically a real life version of the movie Poison Pen played out in the town of Circleville, Ohio. Resulted in the deaths of several people. Unsolved Mysteries did an episode on it, and received a cryptic letter purportedly from the Circleville writer.

Also some woman had a dog shelter and someone set fire to it, killing many of them.
There must be a lot of real psychos out there.
We knew someone who had a dog fed poison and the dog died after days of suffering.
There was another case-a guy wrote in the newspaper how his dog was poisoned and he cursed the killer.
Another one disturbs me was a guy who had a pit bull and the dog was kidnapped--had a heart condition too, and they suspected the dog was taken up north to be used in dog fighting.
I remember an interview with the West children. What a family environment to have grown up in.
