regarding ereaders. So, my first ereader was a fist edition Nook. It had no light, but I have a cover with a light that I use. The page turn buttons are on the side, and I like that I download books from libraries and other sites. I use Calibre to covert to epub. Then about two years ago I got a Nook tablet 7". You couldn't download books from other sites or libraries, but you could purchase books. Plus you had all the other fun stuff like games, websites, etc. Well, the screen cracked, the touch sensor is no longer working, and B&N doesn't make them anymore. They only offer two ereaders. I've heard they are going to move away from them and not support them going forward (no timeline listed). I should mention I lost the power cord, and can't seem to find a replacement. So, I looked into the Kindle. What I don't like about it is that you have to pay for NO ADS - seriously? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) !?! And it's kind of cumbersome downloading books from libraries. Of course, you get discounts on ebooks from Amazon, but I can get them on other sites as well. So, I researched ereaders, and landed on Kobo. Either the Nia or Clara, although I think I'll get the Clara. Kobo is supposed to be the best ereader for downloading library books, particularly those using Overdrive which a lot of them do. Do any of you have ereaders, if so, what do you like about them? What do you dislike? And have you ever heard of Kobo? Thank you.

I use the apps on my phones and tablets which means I have a large collection of Google, Amazon and Apple Books that I probably won’t read.

I'm not sure how things work outside the U.S. There’s an app called Libby that works with public libraries. I had a go at using it just now but can’t remember my PIN number.

I use my tablet. There's a Kindle app for e-books from Amazon and an Overdrive app for downloading books from the public library. The Kindle app also handles quite easily public domain books and pdf files.
