Anyone here watch it? Was it any good? From what I've seen, the aesthetic looks much like Burton's Batman.

No but I remember the actor later played Grant Gustin's dad on the CW show.

Anyone here watch it? Was it any good? From what I've seen, the aesthetic looks much like Burton's Batman. I've seen it. It was definitely made trying to cash in on the success of Batman '89. It had a good cast and special effects (for the time), but the quality of the writing was inconsistent. There were good episodes and bad episodes.

I liked it when I was a kid, but I don't remember much about it.

I remember it when it premiered this month 30 years ago. At the time I thought it was cool. A rewatch of some episodes in the turning of the century see it as a bit dated. However I’ll find out how it looks now for the 30th anniversary rewatch.

No. The 90s was a pretty good time for super hero animated TV shows though, (Batman TAS, X-men, Spider-Man, Superman)

I remember catching a few episodes. The writing was okay and the effects were good for a tv show of the period.

No but I remember the actor later played Grant Gustin's dad on the CW show. Not only did John Wesley Shipp, who played Barry Allen/The Flash on the 1990s TV series, play the father of Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) on the CW show, but he also appeared as several versions of The Flash from different Earths, including Jay Garrick and Barry Allen from the original 1990s TV series, complete with a nearly exact likeness of his 1990s Flash suit. Mark Hamill also reprised his role as The Trickster from the original 1990s series. And John Wesley Shipp's costar from the original 1990s series, Amanda Pays, guest-starred on the CW show as a different version of her character from the 1990s show.

I recall seeing the pilot many years ago and liking it. Not sure what I'd think of it now.

I remember it. I recall Mark Hamill's Frank Gorshin inspired character. The costume was interesting--since they wanted to make it a bit sinister--he was called the Red Demon or something in the news in the show. But the costume had a felty look instead of rubbery.
Also they had an Abbott and Costello pair of characters. I don't recall the show being all that interesting despite the speedy fx but I haven't watched the new ones. But it wasn't as disappointing as those Hulk movies. Ugh.
There was another series MANTIS, I missed the final episode! The cop on the show had his brain rigged with something so everything he did was being monitored and if he didnt do as commanded they would zap him with pain. That guy had a real problem.

And Vito D'Ambrosio, who played Officer Tony Bellows on the 1990s Flash TV series, played the corrupt Mayor Anthony Bellows on the current Flash show.
