Any fans of this on here? Such a stupid movie, but very funny.
Too bad there was never a sequel.

There's a theory that she was just too gorgeous to make it big as an actress.

I enjoyed it, and actually, there is a sequel coming with DeVitto, Arnold, and Eddie Murphy called "Triplets"

There's a theory that she was just too gorgeous to make it big as an actress. She was typecast as the hot-but-shallow girl with no substance. (Twins was one of the few exceptions, playing a hot but sweet girl.)

While nowhere near Arnie's best 80s movies (Conan, The Terminator and Predator) nor it is quite up there with some of his most hilarious and re-watchablea stuff, such as (Commando, The Running Man and Raw Deal), I still have always been quite fond of his rather solid approach towards doing more "family" themed titles, as I think many had some big doubts that he might pull it off. Of course, later on, I have both read and heard that Arnold did not exactly just go "blindly" into the comedy genre, and had already built up a good reputation with delivering some hilarious and over-the-top films like Commando or The Running Man, but I guess those could be seen (at least back then) as unintentionally funny action movies, and yet he seemed to find great chemistry with a lot of comedians (both older and younger ones) who helped him to become more secure and prepared to change the scenery, and of course also having people like Danny DeVito and Ivan Reitman on your side, is not bad news either. I liked how DeVito and Arnie fitted so well against each other, and not just because of their very different looks, but of how well they played together. "You mess with me, you mess with my brother!"I do not watch it too often, as other favorite Arnie films, but of his more "straight-forward" comedies, I think this one along with Kindergarten Cop (both by Reitman) have held up very well. The sad news about Kelly Preston earlier this year came as a bit of a shock, and while Kelly might not become a bigger leading actress, she starred in some very memorable and fun films, where she sure was one of the main reason (for me that is) to why I still come back to them. But yeah, I guess it did not help her out, that she often seemed to end up with playing the cheerleader or dream girl whom usually have not much else going, but to be admired for her looks and body, than personality, even though I think she handled herself well in Twins. All in all, I always seems to end up giving it a 7,5/10, so, yeah, I like it very much. Not so sure about if we will ever see the "Triplets" sequel, but I would somehow probably manage to end up building some far too big expectations. Would be nice though, if one of those rare times, these kind of much talked about and rumured "big" sequels, that many years later, might turn out to be better than what most people would assume or fear.

I had no idea Kelly Preston lived in Iraq as a child.

Any fans of this on here? Such a stupid movie, but very funny. Too bad there was never a sequel. Twins is the reason I REALLy like Arnold. It showed that he had a sense of humor about himself and he wasn't just about guns and muscles. That went a long towards humanizing him as likeable movie star.
