Of course, not everyone will agree, but for those who do agree, enjoy.

I was hoping to post something more contemporary , but can't find any . In MASH 4077 , there is a great scene of a USO Tour with many of the characters reflecting back on their time in the warzone in one of the later episodes . This would make a great musical mash-up tribute!(sorry for the pun). And there is another short WWII movie that is very moving at World of Warships?

Going off-topic, but I can not hear "We'll Meet Again" without thinking of Dr. Strangelove. It's the same with "Singin' in the Rain" and A Clockwork Orange. Note the below video is edited to cut away and conclude with a title card reading "We all know what happens next!" So that's two classic songs that Stanley Kubrick has forever altered my perceptions of!

He finished it by saying, "That's what it was like working with Stanley."

Perhaps you're referring to this one? It was a different one. McDowell was talking to an interviewer instead of an audience. Kubrick asked him if he could dance, and McDowell said, "Oh sure, I can dance." Then McDowell lowered his head for the interviewer and said in a quiet voice, "I can't dance." So Kubrick wanted to see a demonstration and McDowell started doing a Gene Kelly imitation, and Kubrick went absolutely wild over it and bought the song over the phone.
