I'm not being facetious here. I would love to see "Jaws 4" get remade. Give it a complete overhaul. I love the other three movies and a giant shark movie never needs to be boring. It would so much fun to just go back and do the whole thing all over again and in a much different way.

Who would you cast in a remake? Also, as for what are the differences between Stone's film and Tarantino's script, here's a coupe: In the film, Mickey and Mallory are the main characters, but in Tarantino's script, Wayne Gale is the main character. Also, in Tarantino's script, there is no "I Love Mallory" segment with Rodney Dangerfield. Not something I've really thought about before you mentioned it. I could do without the "I Love Mallory" bit, I never thought it worked that well even in the Stone version. As for who I'd cast as Mickey, I'd cast a young actor(and by young, I mean early to mid 30's) who has a James Dean vibe about him(maybe Robert Pattinson or Zac Efron?) As for who I'd cast as Mallory, here are my choices in this following order: 1. Peyton List. 2. Chloe Grace Moretz. 3. Maya Hawke. I don't know who I'd cast for the other characters, though.

The Running Man, and have it be closer to Stephen King's book than the original. YES!!! I love the movie, but I would love a real adaption of the book.

Not a remake exactly, but another take on Max Payne. It’s amazing how much they fucked the movie. Max Payne was such an easy game to translate to screen and they fucked it up by basically turning what was Hard Boiled meets se7en🤷♂️ into a slow crime drama which kept the characters some of the ideas and bullet time (and even that wasn’t done correctly). I even thought wahlberg was ok as Payne.
I want a reboot to be a hard action movie with the trippy dream sequence levels. Still can’t believe they took that out.

"Titanic" could have been a good, interesting and moving film. I feel they needed to deemphasize (if not totally get rid of) any romantic elements and cut the running time in two. Also get rid of the obnoxious cgi effects. I should watch the 50s movie. So basically everything that made it the most successful movie of all time for over a decade. ok. You should watch the 50s movie.

Needful Things deserves to be remade because that dreadful 1993 version did not do the book justice at all. Might be better if it was remade as a miniseries actually.

Also...
There are movies I would have liked to have seen remade because I thought modern sensibilities, and even modern SFX, would benefit them. A lot of those movies HAVE been remade and they SUCKED in comparison to their originals!
Total Recall, Robocop, Texas Chainsaw, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Chucky, are among them.

I'm still hoping that HBO or some other outlet will do a miniseries version of Tom Wolfe's Bonfire of the Vanities. The movie was a misguided flop, and the time seems right for a look back at NYC in the 1980s, with the greed, racial tensions, questionable leadership, and class strife of that era depicted so well in the novel.

The Running Man, and have it be closer to Stephen King's book than the original. This without a doubt. Though I think it would work better as an expensive mini-series.

The Running Man, and have it be closer to Stephen King's book than the original. I really dislike The Running Man as a film. Haven't read the book, but I rate the film as one of Arnie's worst from the 80's. It just holds back way too much and doesn't deliver what it promised. You'll hate it even more after reading he book.

Nothing is sacred. Remake anything. You may get something crap, but sometimes you get something interesting or even great or better than the original.

On a basic level Jaws 4 was already a remake of Orca The Whale...an killer aquatic beast hunts down the friends/family of the man that did his kin wrong

It would be easier to manage the longer period of time and number of locations that the book is set in. As well as the dark tone. I suspect no one involved in the film actually read the book...they just decided to tag King's name to it to sell tickets...there are so many differences to the book, big and small, and all much more interesting than an above-average Joe battling some clowns in spandex.
