The plot of Anachronox depends on this being true.

Logic would dictate that if there is one universe, there are infinite universes. Nothing in nature happens only once. And infinity is a mathematical fact. One explosion of dense matter into a universe means it's happened infinite times. The human mind boggles. Theory should follow evidence, not intuition.

Theory should follow evidence, not intuition. It's not intuition. It's mathematical probability based on the number infinity. If there's one big bang there were infinite big bangs. Sounds like mental masturbation to me.

Sounds like mental masturbation to me. Logic is wank? ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/vdrisscd5/gonemad.gif) If there was one big bang then it supports creationism. One god created one universe with a purpose. Infinite universes is just natural law based on mathematics. You're a creative and imaginative guy, but you lack crystallized knowledge. Your theories are over the place, including metaphysics and theology but you reject most established dogma.

I'm a production scheduler, not a scientist. I keep factories running. In school science and math were never my focus.
I'm more a guy who likes history and philosophy.
But it just seems like basic logic to me that if time is infinite, the same natural processes of physics occurred over and over, not just once. And this is what the video seems to show. Sure it's theoretical, it's not proven. But do you really think it all began with the Big Bang? Where did the material which created the Big Bang originate?
So if it's just a natural process, logic would say it's happened over and over going back in infinite time.
I only mention god because if there was a single Big Bang, it points to some Prime Mover directing creation. Infinite Big Bangs means it's nothing extraordinary and it's just the way it is.
Time as we know it might not have even existed before the Big Bang. The video I posted is considered unorthodox for that very reason. Mathematical models break down before a certain point just after the big bang. We don't know if time is infinite. Anton (the uploader) also mentions the possibility of the Big Rip which is when space expands so much, elementary particles break apart too, meaning the cyclical nature must end.
Besides, even if the universe is cyclical, aren't you curious about real evidence of something outside that too? Don't jump to the God conclusion so fast.

If there is physical infinity, regardless of what we name it, then literally anything is possible including a duplicate of me sitting at a keyboard typing this sentence. There could even be a god that evolved inside our present-day universe who thinks he created everything and enjoys playing with the creatures inside it. This god could have pretended to be Yahweh, while at the same time pretending to be Rama, Odin, Ishtar, and Amon Ra. The possibilities are infinite. That's my point about Gameboy. This isn't scientific thinking.

A game called Outer Wilds already has this theory covered and fully explicated.

I'm not jumping to the "god conclusion". I'm saying one Big Bang fits perfectly with creationism. I'm arguing there might be infinite universes.
It's not impossible, but I like the idea of super advanced aliens or our future selves being responsible. There's an episode of Star Trek where the crew gets stuck in a time loop and try to prevent it by communicating to their past selves until it works.
