Ewan McGregor handles this question perfectly. He shows how silly he thinks the question is without being rude or coming off like an asshole. He makes the interviewer think about something that she may not have thought of before and in a very blunt way.

Trying to get De Niro to answer a question is like pulling teeth.

The ultimate quick wit was Vincent Price.
I heard he was interviewed on the Mike Douglas show and the other guest was Frederic Wertham who critiqued the social impact of horror movies and they got into an argument. Can't find it on youtube but here's Price's strip tease.

ck100Brando did an interview with Dick Cavett that was almost impossible to watch .. he was being a total jerk ... refusing to answer civil questions and pontificating about what he wanted to pontificate about. Cavett kept his cool tho' .

On that note, a celebrity doesn't score any points with me if they respond to interviews with condescension or derision, no matter how stupid the question might be. It always feels like "oh god, I have to interact with a proletariat and they're not even one of the tolerable ones!"

Not from stupid questions, but when the interviewer is being an asshole and condescending first then I will defend the actor when they throw it back at them. I would be the worst interviewee ever, because I get annoyed and angry very easily.

Cavett kept his cool tho' . I saw that interview. It would have been around 1973. Brando was sporting some scruff and a handkerchief around his neck. He looked good. But, yeah, he thought he was so smart and so deep. Cavett was his usual cordial self, though he got a bit miffed one time when Brando made some condescending remark. I love watching the old DC interviews on YouTube.

One of THE BEST Cavett interviews was with Lillian Gish !
They both really seemed to be enjoying the conversation !
