This is a sequel to the teen horror film "The Craft" (1996).

Oh that's the full title? Looks as good as Tron: Legacy or The Bourne Legacy in that case.

I hope they don't go all out with the preachy "female empowerment" stuff but, knowing that director especially made her debut film with all-female crew, I have my doubts.
Anyway, is there any demand for this? The original was made when the goth scene was still big and Wicca still a thing. As far as I know, both of those are pretty much dead now. Horror hounds never really liked The Craft and indeed it wasn't made for them, so who is going to watch the sequel?

Doesn’t look half bad. I wonder if it’ll tell a different story than the first one tho...cuz it all looks like it may be all too similar.

If that wasn't a sure enough sign it'd have female empowerment, it's about females getting powers! I'm just surprised they couldn't get Neve Campbell to show up and recap the first movie, unless they're saving that as a surprise. A random polaroid of Fairuza Balk seems to be the extent of its "sequel" ness.

I'm surprised they're even making this, I didn't think the original movie had that big of a following

I'm surprised they are making a sequel to what was at best a cult movie rather than remaking it, since the target audience probably wasn't even born when the original came out.
